In 2006, Drew Sparrow walked into the Old Waialua Sugar Mill on the North Shore of O’ahu, the shaping Mecca of the world.

All he had was a passion for surfing and dreams of shaping the best surfboards possible, ones people would instantly connect with. Knowing nobody in the industry, Drew attained an old-schooled education at the Sugar Mill, paying his dues by working with the north shores top shapers and board building legends.

Drew used what he learned about board design and set out to have friends and underground surfers test out his shapes on the North Shore, known for its consistency and for some of the most formidable wave conditions on Earth. He learned quickly and paid close attention to the unique characteristics of every individual surfer and the breaks they surfed. Drew became obsessed with learning how to create the best board for each surfer.

Drew’s shaping mantra is rooted in his love to help others by using innovation and classic knowledge to help surfers find their best board. Above all else, Drew listens and cares. He is detail-oriented, endlessly excited about design innovation and new surfboard shaping technology, and uses the best materials that push the boundaries of quality.
