More Gun than Fun. Sparrow’s Sun Fun Gun was specifically designed with team rider Trevor Carlson. It was directed towards more solid and powerful waves (ie: Sunset Beach). Trevor and Sparrow were going for something that could work well on days where you didn’t quite want to take a mid-sized gun out, and something that would work on the bigger days where you could sit inside a little and take the ledgy ones. It has since morphed into many different variations. Some with a Step Deck, some with wider tails to make them a little more friendly in smaller waves too. But this Sun Fun Gun is built for juicy stuff and has lots of hold with its narrower tail. Entry rocker is low, to give the ultimate glide into the wave. The point of the design was all about getting in early with that lower nose rocker. It’s the kind of board where you want to glide in a little behind the peak and take a nice high line as you set up the rest of the ride.
